SPREAD OF THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION
URBANIZATION
Starting in England, then spreading to the rest of Western Europe, then to the rest of the world, industrialization was the rapid expansion of factories and machinery systems that saw millions migrate into cities looking for jobs. This process made countries technological superpowers and gave them a leg up over other countries and allowed for colonization on a massive scale. Industrialization also changed societal life as families were more segregated and apart.
